Grey’s has always been by far my favourite TV show. I’ve been following it religiously since the first season and the character growth and plot development have been really amazing. I know there’s been a lot of flake about how some characters have developed, but hey, it wouldn’t be real if everyone was perfect would it?

So here’s Cristina Yang, played by Sandra Oh, who just about delivers THE most awesome scene in season 6 thus far. She’s absolute brilliance.

Chinese New Year is my favourite festival of the year. (: The reunions and catching up with friends and family, the festive vibes, the food, and how everyone is looking their best really brings a smile to my face. To top it all off, this year is the first I’ve had in a long time where I don’t have an exam looming post CNY. That plus the respite from hospital/work is positively the cherry on top of an already superb cake. I’m mad ecstatic. (: If I could only just stop time right here and now.

So here’s to a great new lunar new year. (: Isn’t it awesome that we get two shots at starting anew. (: I’m really happy if you can’t already tell. Hehe. Have an awesome week lovelies.

Discovered this while in London. So I did a bit of googling and here’s what the site said. Steam Cream apparently uses a revolutionary steam-infused manufacturing process to provide a long-lasting, intensive and effective form of skincare that can be used on face, body and hands. They have pioneered the use of a steam technique to create a unique, gentle and loosely-bound emulsion. This looseness allows each ingredient – including a moisturising and soothing oatmeal infusion, orange flower water and healing lavender oil – to breakdown and penetrate areas of the skin that other creams find hard to reach.

It comes in amazingly gorgeous designs that are designed in Japan and are only made in limited quantities. The nifty weight of the tin (75g) also makes it plane-approved. Tried it on the flight back, and it went on amazingly. I’ve never had moisturiser absorb that quickly. It almost felt like my skin was drinking up the moisture. Long-haul flights drives my skin nuts, but this possibly gave me the most amazing post long-haul flight skin. It has this lavender scent that some may find a little too cloying. I personally love it though. It’s kind of like soaking in a bath full of flowers.

I wonder how this will hold up in Singapore. Given that the humidity level here is practically almost 100% everyday, and the plane has a humidity level of 20%. I’ll give it a shot one day and see how it goes. But I think I’ve found my little miracle worker for winter and flights.

I first found this video about a year ago. I thought it was really cute! It’s really one of my favourite music videos. Hehe. I tried swimming and walking on my bed after. The song’s really awesome as well. I rediscovered it while studying and I thought I’d share.

According to Oren Lavie’s MySpace page,

• The video was shot all stills – roughly 3225 still photos for the entire video, using one camera, hanging from the ceiling for the main body of the movie.
  
• It took 4 weeks before shooting to create an animated computer generated storyboard for the video, with 3d dummies for the characters.
• It took only 2 days of shooting for the live actors on set to re-create the 3.5 minutes computer sequence, frame by frame.
• Some of the bed sheets used in the video were taken from Oren’s own bedroom and are now considered collectors items, worth at the moment not very much and therefore used as bed sheets.
  
• Each of the wonderfully talented people above have worked on the video for a fraction of their normal rates (except Oren who worked for his normal rate of zero).

Talented, creative and funny. Awwww.

Finals in 3 days. Been feeling a little out of sorts though with the work and the lackadaisical attitude I’m adopting. Need to work hard. It’s alright though, after all I have London, Paris, Rome and Copenhagen to look forward to. And Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athenee! (We share the same birthday!) It’s going to be an awesome gastronomical ride. Hehe.

And to all my fellow study-ers, hang in there. (: It’s 5 whole months of glorious non-exams after!

BagSnob’s tweet last night reminded me of how in love I was with Sofia Coppola’s line for Louis Vuitton. It has all the makings of a perfect day bag. Stylish, and with enough space for all the twenty million things I carry on a daily basis. Almost like a modified Speedy, (with fantastic material – the leather is amazing to look at and to touch) the added shoulder strap for functionality is such a brilliant idea.

Should I should I? I’m awfully tempted.
